What SpecLatch is

SpecLatch is a product-data platform for engineered products, operated by SpecLatch (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the marketing site (speclatch.com) and the application (app.speclatch.com).

What we collect

  • Messages you send us: if you use the contact form, your email address, name, and message. Submissions to the retired early-access waitlist (email, name, company) are kept only until you ask us to delete them.
  • Account information: name, email, and sign-in credentials, managed by our authentication provider (Clerk). We never see or store your password.
  • Your product data: the records, fields, files, and documents your organization puts into SpecLatch. It belongs to your organization; we process it only to run the service.
  • Billing information: handled by Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers.
  • Operational logs: basic request and error logs needed to keep the service healthy.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data or your contact information. To anyone.
  • We don't use your product data to train AI models.
  • We don't run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Who processes data on our behalf

We rely on a small set of infrastructure providers: Clerk (authentication), Railway (hosting), Cloudflare (file storage), Stripe (billing), and Resend (transactional email). If your organization connects its own AI key (Anthropic or OpenAI), the text you submit to those features is sent to that provider under your key and their terms.

Confidentiality tiers

Fields your organization marks internal or confidential are enforced by the platform: public catalog pages, public documents, and API responses serve each audience only the fields at or below that audience's tier.

Your choices

To ask about, export, or delete your data — including anything you sent through a site form — email hello@speclatch.com. Organizations can export their full data from inside the app at any time.

Changes

We'll update this page as the service evolves and note the date above. Material changes will be announced to affected users by email.
